GPP Helpdesk Webinar – Purchasing Green Cleaning Products and Services

18 December 2018, 14:00 - 15:30

Green Public Procurement (GPP) is an important tool to achieve environmental policy goals relating to climate change, resource use and sustainable consumption and production – especially given the importance of public sector spending on goods and services in Europe.

This is the second of two Webinars that have been organised during 2018, as part of the European Commission’s Helpdesk service on GPP. The Webinars provide a forum to inform stakeholders working in the field of public sector procurement about important new developments in the resources available and legislative context for GPP, and provide an opportunity for questions and discussion. For more information, visit the European Commission’s GPP website.

Preliminary programme:

  • Welcome, ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability
  • Introduction to the EU GPP Criteria for Indoor Cleaning Services, Enrico Degiorgis, DG Environment, European Commission
  • Socially responsible cleaning framework using green cleaning products -  experiences from Catalonia, Anna Esteve Traveset, Ministry of Territory and Sustainability, Government of Catalonia
  • Further speaker to be confirmed
