Webinar: 20 years of sustainable procurement at ICLEI

A webinar presenting ICLEI’s initiatives, activities and achievements in the field of sustainable and innovation procurement will be hosted by the United Nations Environment Programme on Tuesday 13 September between 13.00 and 14.30. ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability is the leading global network of over 1,500 cities, towns and regions committed to building a sustainable future.

Over the past 20 years ICLEI has worked on more than 150 projects and over 100 events with public authorities driving the implementation of sustainable and innovation procurement. The webinar is organised in the framework of the Sustainable Public Procurement Programme of the 10-Year Framework of Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production patterns (10YFP on SPP).

The 10YFP SPP Programme is a global platform that supports the implementation of SPP around the world. It brings together a variety of stakeholders to progress towards its two major goals of building the case for SPP and supporting SPP implementation on the ground. The programme is implemented through an extensive network of 99 partners in over 40 countries. Informative webinars are organised to present the SPP activities of partners and to enhance cooperation and exchange of experience.
