PRIMES event to provide participants with practical look at GPP

The EU-funded PRIMES project is holding an event as part of the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) focusing on using green public procurement (GPP) to purchase more energy efficient products and services. The event will take place in Brussels (Belgium) on 16 June and all public procurers are invited to attend.

Participants will hear about GPP good practice cases in countries such as Croatia, Denmark and Latvia, and will be provided with information on the GPP capacity building modules developed as part of the project. Other EU-funded projects focusing on green procurement will also be presented, including Green ProcA, GreenS and Infinite Solutions.

Through the presentation of these projects, participants will gain a comprehensive picture of how to practically implement GPP in municipalities. More information is available by contacting peter.defranceschi@iclei.org. The PRIMES project aims to provide hands-on support to public purchasing organisations, helping them to overcoming barriers and implement Green Public Purchasing.
