UNEP publishes new Factsheets on Sustainable Public Procurement in National Governments

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) has published 45 factsheets on Sustainable Public Procurement that illustrate the current state of SPP among national governments across the world. The publication is a supplement to the 2022 Sustainable Public Procurement Global Review.

The factsheets are based on responese by national governments to a questionnaire developed in the context of research for the 2022 SPP Global Review. The research aim of this questionnaire was to provide an overview of the current sustainable procurement
landscape at the global level, while highlighting significant trends or shifts in the evolution of sustainable procurement since the last edition of this publication in 2017.

The Factsheets present in a harmonized and structured manner the information provided by each of the 45 participating countries individually in their responses to the questionnaire. They cover topics such as SPP policy development, implementation and monitoring and evaluation, highlight best practices, and provide important links to government procurement and SPP-related web portals, as well as SPP contacts within government.

The factsheets can be downloaded here.
