London 2012 Sustainability Report - A blueprint for change
This is the first of three London 2012 Sustainability Reports, designed to chart our delivery against the London 2012 Sustainability Plan (2009). The next
two reports will be released in the spring of 2012 and the winter of 2012/13.
This report covers the 2010 calendar year, and its focus is on construction
and planning for the Games. The second report to be published in 2012 will
provide a comprehensive pre-Games view of our programme. The timing of that report is important as it will provide a spotlight on our progress prior to
the Games and the Rio +20 World Summit on Sustainable Development.

Governance Issues in the EU’s e-Procurement Framework
This article outlines the Commission’s e-procurement policy, develops an analytical structure for assessing the framework and highlights governance issues that need addressing if e-procurement is to deliver on its promise
The report focuses on alternative drivetrain technologies and fuels that offer carbon reduction from city buses, although technologies relevant to taxis are also discussed.
The analysis focuses on the likely performance of short-medium term solutions (< 10 years) and suggests some demand side measures and practises which can be implemented to assist in the transition to cleaner public transport fleets. The study draws on technology information from industry technology roadmaps, interviews with technology providers and industry experts. Future demand for public transport vehicles and current procurement practises are established from the PPIA network cities.
The 2012 Annual Report on the State of Municipal Sustainable Procurement in Canada -

themes and trends for this year and puts forth observations for the year ahead,
based on consultations with municipalities. This report is intended to be a
resource for municipalities and other agencies who are planning, developing
or optimizing sustainable procurement programs. It is also a summary for City
Council members and City Management Staff who want a snapshot of this
emerging strategic practice.

It is primarily targeted at procurers and fleet managers, but will also be of relevance to policy makers and others involved in the transport sector.
Clean Buses – Experiences with Fuel and Technology Options
This Report has been produced by the Clean Fleets project consortium (see end of document for list of partners), and aims to document some of the experiences of European local authorities and public transport operators in operating buses running on alternative fuels and technologies.
