Public buyers from national central procurement bodies will be able to apply for the PPE+ Europe 2025 training programme from early April. The trainings will be a great opportunity for public buyers who have not been able to participate in the PPE+ Europe 2024 training programme. More information on the exact dates and deadlines of the application process will follow soon.
Following a successful kick off in Vienna (Austria) on 4 November 2024, the implementation of the PPE+ Europe 2024 training programme is successfully ongoing. Two weeks of onsite training in Vienna were followed by online sessions in December, with another week of onsite training to follow in Brussels in March 2025.
The training programme offers a combination of practical and academic approaches, allowing participants to benefit from the extensive knowledge of variety of organisations and experts in the field of public procurement. A key feature of the PPE+ Europe project is its provision of direct support services (consulting services) to participating organisations, helping those organisations to trigger improvements and optimisations of their procurement functions.
The project is implemented by the Austrian Federal Procurement Agency BBG, ICLEI Europe and EY Romania, on behalf of the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA). It follows the Public Procurement Excellence Programmes 2018-2023, which generated positive feedback from participants, as well as a demand for further training, highlighting the continued relevance of the professionalisation of public procurement.
