ICLEI Europe is expanding its Sustainable and Innovation Procurement (SIP) team. Do you have at least 5 years experience in public procurement and in working with local governments? And you have a good understanding of European policies related to sustainable public procurement? Join the team as a senior expert! You will be working from ICLEI Europe's office in Brussels (Belgium).
The successful candidate will work at the forefront of European public procurement policy development and implementation, contributing to international processes that influence urban policies, such as the EU Public Procurement Framework, Green Deal, the EU Missions, the New European Bauhaus, the New Urban Agenda, the UN SDGs, and others.
The position offers the opportunity to lead on European projects that support cities wanting to develop their sustainable or innovation procurement practices, have a strong role in the strategic and conceptual development of sustainable and innovation procurement. support the policy and advocacy processes of ICLEI that advance sustainable and innovation procurement at the European and international level and pro-actively develop and strengthen strategic partnerships with relevant international institutions and organisations on the topics of sustainable and innovation procurement at a European and international level.

Through projects and flagship networks, such as the Procura+ European Sustainable Procurement Network, Big Buyers Working Together and the Smart Cities Marketplace, ICLEI provides professional information, advice, networking opportunities, training and tools to public authorities wanting to implement better, more cost effective sustainable and innovation procurement practices.
