The Central Purchasing Body of Piedmont Region, in collaboration with the Metropolitan City of Turin and ARPA Piedmont, in the context of APE Network, conducted a joint procurement for 500 GWh electricity.

In 2018 Gabrovo Municipality plans to purchase three new 12m electric buses, together with charging stations. It is estimated the contract will save a total of 1.38 tonnes CO2 emissions per year.

The procurement was rolled out to four further municipalities from the Bulgarian SPPI Network and ten electric cars were purchased in total. The procurement process involved a needs analysis phase, a market engagement and final publication of tender specifications and verification.
